Three films in the showcase are from The Womanity Project by director Aurélie Harp and producer Lydia Darly. Lydia is the talented artist and co-founder of the Nova Frontier Film Festival and Lab with my friend Billy Gerard Frank. I met Aurélie through Lydia. Lydia and Aurélie are from Paris and can also call themselves proud New Yorkers. And, in Aurelie’s family there’s a St. Louis connection—St. Louis is my hometown, when I’m not in NYC. No matter where we come from, through film, we understand each other. And Aurélie and Lydia come from an acting background, like me!
