Full on/No Floaties

No kickboard, no buoyant barbells, I did it. In this week’s class, I swam back and forth from mid-pool to the edge of the pool. Still in shallow water, though. Still need to get that breathing down so I can sustain a few laps when I do my practice half-laps (for now), BUT! This was a huge personal accomplishment. I’m a woman who never dipped in below her chin before. Now—thanks to a swim cap covering my ears—I’m under and out. Practice, practice, practice. That’s how you get to the Olympic-sized pool. Trust me, I don’t have those ambitions. Just a lap or two up and down the lane.
